OMNI\'s goal is to serve as many diverse voices from Canada\'s ethnocultural communities as possible. If you have a passion to tell stories that inform, engage and entertain Canada\'s culturally diverse population and share this content with a cultural lens, then OMNI wants to meet you. We are looking for a talented producer with proven leadership skills and someone who must have a solid understanding and respect for cultural communities across Canada, strong background in journalism and a passion for innovation in story-telling.

What you will be doing\xe2\x80\xa6

• Support a team of journalists and production crew to produce special series and short and long form content/documentaries in various languages that will resonate with the communities we serve
• Guide, create, and manage production of special series/documentaries
• Take a lead role in content to make sure it meets editorial standards
• Work within budget and meet all deadlines for deliverables
• Develop and coach the team to maximize performance
• Work with the digital team to increase OMNI\'s digital footprint
• Collaborate with Rogers Sports & Media teams in the production of content, as required

What you will bring\xe2\x80\xa6

• You have experience working with or have a deep understanding of cultural communities across Canada
• You understand the dynamic immigration trends in Canada and are able to vision and create content that would resonate with the communities we serve
• You have strong editorial judgement and know how to vet stories for different platforms
• You have experience collaborating with individuals/teams and working with budgets
• You know how a TV newsroom works, live news and control room experience is an asset
• You are willing to explore new ideas and approaches to content and production
• You are an excellent communicator, especially in pressure situations
