Job Overview

The Produce Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of the produce department within a retail environment. This position is responsible for ensuring the freshness, quality, and presentation of all produce items while providing exceptional customer service. The Produce Manager will lead a team, manage inventory, and implement sales strategies to maximize department performance.

Duties

Oversee the daily operations of the produce department, ensuring compliance with company standards and policies. Manage inventory levels, including ordering, receiving, and stocking produce items to maintain optimal freshness and availability. Train, supervise, and evaluate team members to enhance their skills and ensure high-quality customer service. Develop and implement sales strategies to increase produce sales while monitoring market trends and adjusting offerings accordingly. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the produce department to create an inviting shopping experience for customers. Collaborate with other departments to promote cross-selling opportunities and enhance overall store performance. Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly, ensuring a positive shopping experience. Conduct regular inspections of produce quality and freshness, making necessary adjustments as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
