SUNRIPE Produce Department Manager

Reporting to the Store Manager and SUNRIPE Owners, the Produce Department Manager is responsible for customer satisfaction, profitability, staffing, and cleanliness in their department.

What You Bring to Our Team:

? Minimum five years of experience in a produce department

? College diploma or degree in business, culinary or other related field, or a combination of experience and education

? Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organization skills

? Ability to delegate, lead and inspire a team with a passionate and positive demeanor

? Flexible availability from 4:30 am until 9:00 pm, seven days a week

? Computer skills specifically with the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)

? Provide courteous, friendly and efficient customer service

? Ensure a positive, friendly and supportive work environment

? Answer telephone calls and receive orders

? Supervise, train, mentor and conduct annual performance reviews of team members

? Work with Human Resources and Store Manager with hiring and onboarding

? Control inventory of product on a monthly basis and prepare spreadsheets for Accounting

? Order, receive and verify invoices against shipments for accuracy and freshness

? Organize and ensure proper storage of inventory and incoming shipments

? Manage department profit margin by following recipes, verifying product costs, and updating retail pricing for the sale of produce, flowers, juice, gift baskets, candies and other signature products.

? Merchandise produce department products and displays artistically

? Manage production of produce items, while maintaining impeccable cleanliness

? Manage department schedules within assigned labour budget

? Follow and ensure government regulations, company policies and procedures

? Attend Managers meetings and staff meetings

? Other assigned duties as they may arise

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.50-$24.50 per hour
