We are currently seeking a

Part-Time Produce Clerk

to join the Produce Department at our

Aurora location

. This role requires a commitment of at least

3 shifts per week

.

Duties & Responsibilities

As a member of the Produce team, you will conduct yourself with integrity and be committed to providing the best possible service to Summerhill's customers, staff, and clients. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Assisting in receiving, storing, and stocking produce while ensuring proper product rotation and quality Setting up and maintaining produce displays, ensuring products are well-stocked and visually appealing Handling product damages and credits according to company policy Learning store products and their locations in order to assist customers effectively Supporting Produce Management with monitoring ordering, inventory, and wastage Maintaining department cleanliness and food safety standards Providing exceptional customer service by answering questions and helping customers select products Being a team player and helping colleagues across the store as needed Adhering to all company policies, procedures, and practices, including signing, pricing, and loss prevention
Skillset Requirements

Previous produce, grocery, or food industry experience is an asset Food Safety Handlers Certification preferred Passion for food and a customer-first mindset Strong attention to detail and quality standards Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to receive direction well Effective team player with a collaborative and adaptable approach Physically able to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push, and pull items weighing up to 50 pounds Comfortable working in cooler environments (produce storage and cooler rooms)

Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays (minimum 3 shifts per week required)

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
