We are currently hiring a Produce Clerk to work with us in our Produce Department. The ideal candidates will have flexible availability to work any time on weekends starting as early as 6:30 a.m., with a passion for providing excellent customer service. We are conveniently located at the northwest corner of Yonge & Lawrence, immediately above Lawrence subway station.

Why is this role important

Our Produce Clerks help provide a positive in-store shopping experience by ensuring the produce tables and cold walls are always ready with available products that meet customer needs to live life well. Our Clerks inspire our customers through delightful conversation and knowledge of products.

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do

Ensure a fresh and appealing display, keeping cases and shelves clean and well stocked by front-facing, checking codes, rotating and removing out-of-date products

Assist in organizing and displaying volume and seasonal items

Complete spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheets as required

Ensure accuracy of signs, pricing, and country of origin

Provide excellent customer service, addressing needs of customers in a timely and effective manner; answer pages promptly and courteously

Use effective and proper procedures for prepping, trimming, crisping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product, as well as health/sanitation and safe work practices

Perform opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned

Additional related duties as assigned by Produce Manager

What you bring

No experience is required however, experience working with food is an asset

Availability to work Saturdays and Sundays between the hours of 6:30 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. at a minimum

Able to move up to 50lbs, work in cool and wet conditions, and be in constant mobility for an entire shift
