Job Title:

Procurement Specialist (Non-IT) - Intermediate

Work Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 8:15 AM - 4:30 PM (Alberta Time)

Duration:

12 Months (Possible Extension)

Start Date:

November 2025

Per-Worker / Onsite.

Key Responsibilities



Solicitation Document Preparation



Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with departmental objectives. Research and refine business, operational, and technical requirements. Draft and coordinate detailed solicitation documents (RFI, RFP, RFQ) for stakeholder review. Identify potential subprojects requiring separate vendor solicitations. Interpret RFXs for vendors and prepare responses to formal inquiries.

Evaluation & Debrief



Develop evaluation methodologies, scoring plans, and award recommendations. Review vendor proposals for completeness, accuracy, and compliance. Facilitate evaluation committees and coordinate bidder conferences. Document evaluation results, prepare reports, and support vendor debrief sessions.

Post-RFX Activities



Support contract negotiation and finalization with selected vendors. Conduct post-procurement reviews and performance evaluations. Maintain complete, auditable procurement and contract records. Provide process improvement recommendations based on lessons learned.

Qualifications & Skills



3-5 years of progressive procurement experience (public sector experience preferred). Strong knowledge of RFX and competitive bidding processes. Familiarity with the

Government of Alberta's procurement policy framework

is an asset. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Post-secondary education in

Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field

. Professional designation (e.g., SCMA, CPSM, or equivalent) is considered an asset.

Onsite Role:

Must be available to work from the Edmonton location.
