Tasks

Assess requirements of an establishment to develop specifications for equipment, materials and supplies to be purchased Develop specifications for equipment, materials and supplies to be purchased Negotiate offers from suppliers Consult with suppliers Determine contract terms and conditions Contact clients and suppliers to resolve problems Plan, organize and oversee operational logistics of the organization Internal audit Establish and maintain contact with suppliers Conduct research on market conditions in local, regional or national areas Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages
