Procurement Materials Specialist, IT & Systems

The Opportunity



We are looking for Procurement Materials Specialist to join our passionate and collaborative team.



Reporting to the Manager of Strategic Sourcing, you will provide support that combines the responsibilities of a Senior Buyer and a Materials Coordinator. This position requires a solid understanding of procurement principles, logistics, and inventory management. You will play a key role in developing and executing strategic purchasing initiatives, often with company-wide impact.

As the Procurement Materials Specialist, you will also be responsible for designing and implementing inventory control systems tailored to each orthodontic practice within the network, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and optimal resource utilization across all locations.

This is a permanent, full-time, position that has the flexibility to based out of either the U.S. or Canada. The ideal candidate will be in Colorado, California, Toronto, ON or Calgary, AB. This position offers flexible work structure as remote or hybrid, depending on location.

What You Will Love Doing



Utilize our procurement platform to manage purchasing and inventory-related tasks. Analyze pricing data to identify cost-saving opportunities and negotiate favorable terms. Compare supplier offerings to reduce costs and improve delivery timelines. Resolve receiving discrepancies, including over- or under-shipments. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring effective account management. Maintain hosted catalogs within the procurement system, collaborating with suppliers to ensure data accuracy. Provide procurement-related support to staff across the network, including Coupa platform assistance. Leverage data and analytics to drive informed purchasing decisions and optimize inventory levels. Analyze inventory trends, forecast future needs, and generate reports to support decision-making. Support case costing initiatives across all clinics using inventory data. Apply knowledge of inventory management systems to streamline operations. Identify process bottlenecks and recommend improvements aligned with industry best practices. Develop and manage reports to monitor inventory accuracy and performance. Collaborate with leadership and colleagues to create site-specific materials management strategies. Assist with periodic inventory counts across the organization.

All About You:



Experience in supply chain, logistics, and procurement, preferably within a healthcare environment. Advanced proficiency in procurement software, spreadsheets, and inventory management systems; experience with Coupa is strongly preferred. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed, strategic decisions. Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all aspects of work. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with external partners. Education in Supply Chain Management or a related field is preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a related role, demonstrating progressive responsibility and impact.
