We currently have an opening for Procurement Manager in Kamloops. Applicants that meet the following criteria will be given preference:
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Receive, organize, and manage purchasing requisitions for all BAT Construction's Projects.
Work with the General Manager and Operations Manager, along with Project Managers, to optimize inventory levels and support inventory management best practices.
Review materials and vendors on a continual basis to identify both alternative products and/or vendors to improve supply chain or pricing.
Evaluate and rate vendors based on performance and report up to senior management.
Report back on Key Performance Indicators such as:
o On-time delivery of materials.
o On-time receipt of purchase requisitions for projects
o Monthly savings on procurement initiatives
Establish favourable terms and conditions with suppliers and vendors for equipment and services.
Negotiate the best price and delivery costs.
Prepare and send out RFP's
Purchase order and system management
Hold vendors accountable for issued purchase orders.
Follow up on purchases, ensure on-time delivery, report back status to requisition owners.
Liaise with project members and vendors to solve order discrepancies.
Utilize modern procurement techniques to save cost on materials and shipping.
Manage BAT Constructions accounts payable priorities in conjunction with the finance department
Maintain positive working relationships with all BAT suppliers and vendors.
Provide material delivery and procurement updates to projects daily
Manage Contractors and related requirements
Communicate A/P priorities with the accounting department to ensure vendor accounts stay current.
AUTHORIZATIONS:
Authorized to perform the duties and responsibilities mentioned above.
Authorized to make purchases up to $25,000 CAD.
Authorized to issue Purchase Orders
Authorized to sign on behalf of the company for vehicle and equipment Insurance, purchases, leases, and rental agreements.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
APICS, ISM, NCMA or equivalent designation as a supply chain professional is preferred.
5+ years experience in procurement or supply chain
Strong proficiency in MS Office suite
Customer focus, creative problem solver, and a desire to win.

Knowledge of the materials and supplies used in the Geotechnical Stabilization Industry is preferred.

Pay: $90,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
