Job Summary
As our Procurement Coordinator, you'll play a key role in keeping our operations running smoothly. You'll help ensure we have the right materials, equipment, and services at the right time--supporting our mission to build a cleaner, greener future.
In this role, you'll build strong relationships with suppliers, keep a close eye on inventory, process purchase requests, place and manage purchase orders (POs), and make sure all procurement activities meet our quality and policy standards. You'll work closely with different departments to understand what's needed and help keep projects moving forward with accuracy, efficiency, and positivity.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate the procurement of materials, equipment, and services to support operational and production needs.
Source, evaluate, and compare suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and reliability.
Prepare, issue, and follow up on purchase orders; track shipments and delivery schedules.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, supplier contracts, pricing, and inventory levels.
Work closely with internal teams (production, logistics, R&D, finance) to understand requirements and ensure timely supply.
Monitor supplier performance and assist in conducting vendor evaluations.
Resolve order discrepancies, delivery delays, and quality issues with suppliers.
Support inventory control activities, including stock monitoring and replenishment planning.
Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, quality standards, and safety regulations.
Assist with cost-saving initiatives, budget tracking, and continuous improvement in procurement processes.
Qualifications:
Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations, or related field.
1-3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or a similar role (manufacturing environment preferred).
Strong understanding of procurement processes, supplier management, and inventory control.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with ERP or inventory management systems is an asset.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational abilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight timelines.
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to address supplier or order issues proactively.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of cost analysis, basic contract terms, and procurement best practices is an asset.
