Purpose
We are seeking a Procurement Specialist to join our team in Canada. This role is responsible for supporting and executing procurement activities across multiple projects, ensuring compliance with company procedures, and delivering value through strategic sourcing, negotiation, and supplier management. The Procurement Specialist will work collaboratively with project teams and stakeholders to meet project requirements and deadlines.
Responsibilities
Issue RFQs and manage bid package preparation, evaluation, and documentation
Prepare and administer Purchase Orders (POs)
Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers
Expedite material orders and resolve schedule conflicts
Collaborate with project teams and client procurement representatives
Maintain confidentiality in all bidding and procurement activities
Manage PO discrepancies, revisions, and closeouts
Develop supplier lists and conduct evaluations
Monitor supplier performance and milestone dates
Administer and distribute procurement reports
Support continuous improvement and strategic planning
Ensure compliance with policies and regulations
Participate in planning meetings and mentor junior staff
What You Will Bring
Technical and Industry Education & Experience Requirements
Intermediate-level experience in procurement, supply chain, or contract experience
Experience with engineered equipment and project procurement
Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with SPM or Aveva ERM is an asset
Strong negotiation, organizational, and time-management skills
Knowledge of procurement best practices and supplier management
Experience in oil & gas or construction environments preferred

Education - Qualifications, Accreditation, Training
Degree, diploma, or certificate in Supply Chain Management or related field
SCMP or PMAC (C.P.P.) designation preferred
Formal training in procurement, contract law, or business planning is an asset
