JOB SUMMARY



Under the supervision of the Supply Chain Director, the Procurement Analyst is responsible for planning and ensuring the short-, medium- and long-term supply of raw materials, components and finished products. His/her objective: to maintain a constant and optimal flow, anticipating needs, working closely with internal teams and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.

RESPONSIBILITIES



Procurement:



Analyze purchasing needs and suggestions generated by the ERP system for each production site and 3PL warehouse. Ensure smooth supply of raw materials and finished products, avoiding stock-outs, based on ERP, sales forecasts, promotions and exchanges with sales and marketing teams. Evaluate order modification suggestions generated by the ERP, then make the necessary adjustments by production site and 3PL warehouse, after orders have been placed. Track open orders, including direct imports. Collaborate with the logistics team for transportation and inter-warehouse transfers. Work closely with engineering on new product development. Analyze and optimize order parameters (min/max, minimum lots) in ERP. Participate in Metaltech-Omega's monthly forecasting process and suggest improvements. Support the purchasing clerk in the creation of purchase orders, price confirmation, and direct importtasks, as required.

Purchasing:



Identify and proactively evaluate potential suppliers. Make-or-buy price comparisons. Develop business relationships and maintain ongoing collaboration with current suppliers. Monitor non-conformities related to products delivered by suppliers. Analyze and negotiate supplier prices on a monthly basis, then communicate adjustments internally. Implement and monitor performance indicators (KPIs) related to purchasing and procurement. Stay up to date on best practices in purchasing and procurement.

REQUIREMENTS, QUALITIES AND SKILLS REQUIRED



Education:

AEC in procurement or Bachelor of Business Administration with a specialization in operations and logistics management; Any combination of relevant education and experience will be considered.

Experience:

Minimum 5 years' experience in procurement in the manufacturing sector - The position and projects will be adapted to your profile;

Language skills:

Fluency in French and English, both spoken and written.

Behavioural skills:

Thoroughness and attention to detail; Autonomy and sense of initiative; Ability to assimilate new information quickly; Organizational skills and priority management; Communication skills to work with stakeholders; Teamwork and collaboration;

Technical skills:



Advanced proficiency in Excel (complex searches, pivot tables). Experience with an ERP system. Experience in international purchasing (an asset). Familiarity with steel components (an asset).
