The Alberta Electric System Operator (AESO) is responsible for the safe, reliable, and economic planning and operation of the Alberta Interconnected Electric System. We are looking for an enthusiastic and focused collaborator to join our IT Vendor & Financial Management team in a 12-month fixed term IT Procurement Analyst role. Reporting to the Team Lead, IT Vendor & Financial Management, the junior / intermediate IT Procurement Analyst provides centralized support for IT's procure to pay processes.
This is a 12-month fixed term role with a possibility of extension. The target hire date is May 2025.
In a fixed term role, you will be eligible for paid vacation time, 4 fixed day offs per year, and health & dental benefits, as part of your overall compensation package. We support a hybrid work environment, where the team is in the downtown Calgary office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Mondays and Fridays are flexible for where you work best.

Key accountabilities include but not limited to:IT Procurement:
Position supports IT and guides cross-departmentally while promoting the fair and transparent purchasing of goods and services in alignment with the AESO's Procurement Policy.General:Provide support on sourcing and procurement tasks at each stage of the Procure to Pay cycle.

What you'll bring to us:Bachelor's degree in a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Similar work experience at a Junior/Intermediate level for minimum 3 years; Proficiency in Microsoft Word and competency in Microsoft 365 products including: Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, OneDrive; Proficiency in contract and document management (includes writing and reviewing contracts and other documents with stakeholders); Experience at each stage of the Procure to Pay cycle, including but not limited to: + Sourcing (i.e. administer and manage RFP processes), contracting / negotiating, Purchase Order, receive goods/services, Payment.
Procurement compliance with policy, directives, and trade Agreements.
