Are you a Supply Chain or Commercial professional looking for a new challenge? The SCM Downstream team is currently looking for an individual to support the Operations & Logistics portfolio. In this role, you will be responsible for the procurement activities supporting the lifecycle of our Pipelines and Distribution Terminals assets

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-6 years of directly related professional experience and/or a combination of commercial and technical work experience
  • A Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or equivalent
  • Experience in procurement, contract management, strategic sourcing, and/or category management, with demonstrated capability in leading sourcing event, contract drafting and negotiation, supplier relationship and supplier performance management
  • Understanding of and experience with Suncor ADEM process, and of the interfaces and roles of a Project team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, SAP, Livelink, and Tableau
  • Demonstrated ability to meet the demands of multiple clients including external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage the portfolio and actively participate in meetings to collate demand, evaluate business requirements, and identify optimization opportunities
  • Procure and ensure timely delivery of material and services
  • Develop RFQ packages, bid evaluation and selection criteria, lead negotiations and form Purchase Orders commitments
  • Manage the Purchase Order process, including formation, change management, and close-out activities
  • Facilitate supplier work execution performance management meetings with both internal and external partners
  • Assess risks, identify trends and opportunities, and make recommendations to improve procurement processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Advise business stakeholders and provide guidance to more junior team members
  • Drive compliance with SCM policies, processes, procedures, and strategies
Location and other Key Details:
  • Full-time position located in Suncor Energy Center (Calgary) with possibility to work from Sherwood Park (SELC office) or Ft. McMurray office.
  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
