We are currently seeking Processing Technicians to join our Operations team within our AgMedica Bioscience facility. Key Responsibilities:
Process cannabis by destemming, sorting, grinding, weighing, and bulk packaging in compliance with SOPs
Maintain sanitation of processing equipment and work areas according to GMP standards
Calibrate and inspect equipment to ensure safe, effective operation
Monitor for contamination, potential hazards, and production issues; report concerns to the Processing Team Lead
Accurately document product weights, batch details, and waste destruction
Remove and dispose of waste following established SOPs and regulatory requirements
Conduct inventory checks of processing and packaging supplies, reporting low stock levels
Ensure all packaging components meet specifications prior to vault storage
Follow all quality assurance protocols to uphold product integrity and compliance
Support the Packaging Team when required
Qualifications:
Post-secondary education in Agriculture, Horticulture, or a related field is an asset
Experience working in GMP-compliant environments or within the cannabis/agriculture sector is preferred
Understanding of the Cannabis Act and relevant regulations
Strong attention to detail, organization, and cleanliness
Ability to follow strict safety and hygiene protocols, including use of PPE
Must be bondable and physically able to perform manual tasks (lifting up to 25kg, standing, crouching, etc.)
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
Working Conditions:
Controlled environment with strong odours, humidity, and moderate noise levels
Use of PPE and adherence to strict sanitation and gowning requirements
Exposure to plant material, cleaning agents, and repetitive tasks
Work may involve lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and manual dexterity
