Job Summary

The Sterile Processing Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring that all surgical instruments and medical equipment are properly cleaned, sterilized, and maintained to meet health and safety standards. This position requires attention to detail, adherence to protocols, and a strong understanding of medical terminology. The technician will work closely with healthcare professionals to support patient safety and optimal surgical outcomes.

Responsibilities

Clean, disinfect, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment according to established protocols. Inspect instruments for cleanliness and functionality prior to sterilization. Package and label sterilized items accurately for storage or distribution. Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and inventory levels. Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure timely availability of sterile instruments for procedures. Adhere to infection control standards and safety regulations at all times. Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with industry best practices.

Requirements

Sterile Processing Technician Certification. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Willingness to learn new techniques and procedures related to sterile processing.
Wage depending on experience

Pay: $22.05-$25.00 per hour
