Are you a Third Class Power Engineer and have a passion for driving efficiencies? We are #hiring a Power Engineer at our Syncrude Mildred Lake site.
In this role, you will be responsible for operating the equipment safely and efficiently, according to established practices, procedures, and guidelines.
Minimum Requirements:Two years of working experience as a Power Engineer
Minimum 3rd class power engineering certificate is required
Ability to interpret Alberta Safety Code Regulation, which includes ASME Codes and others
Potable water or Domestic Waste Water qualifications considered an asset
Possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
Responsibilities:Learn and adhere to management systems
Train and become qualified on multiple posts in a reasonable timeframe
Operate the equipment in a safe, efficient manner according to established practices, procedures and operating guidelines
Start-up, shutdown and Isolate equipment for maintenance activities
Perform operator care rounds and routines. Enter work notifications for all deficiencies requiring maintenance support
Monitor and adjust equipment and process variables to maintain a safe, efficient and environmentally sound operation and to ensure product quality
Enter quality shift logs at the end of each shift and perform quality shift handover with incoming shift
Location and other Key Details:You will work out of our Syncrude Mildred Lake site in Fort McMurray
The shift schedule is 3 days 3 nights and 6 off - 12 hour shifts
You will be required to perform some heavy lifting, use ladders and work on elevated work sites such as scaffolds and towers with the ability to perform in a variety of different environments both indoor and outdoor as well as within confined spaces
