Do you have a passion for fostering innovation and sustainability in glass technology? If so, we want to hear from you!
Miru is a clean-technology start-up of 50+ employees developing electrochromic windows to reduce greenhouse emissions, increase sustainability and improve energy efficiency. Miru operates a state-of-the-art pilot production facility in Vancouver and is in the midst of constructing a demonstration plant to scale up production of our electrochromic window technology for our architectural and automotive clients. We focus on technical excellence and delivering a high-quality product. For more information about Miru, please visit our website: https://mirucorp.com/.
Our eight-month Process Engineering Co-op opportunity is centered on fast-paced formulation development and optimization. You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the performance and reliability of our electrochromic window systems by rapidly iterating, testing, and refining anode and cathode ink formulations. Your work will directly contribute to the development of next-generation smart window technologies.
Throughout this co-op, you'll gain extensive hands-on experience with ink preparation, coating, and device assembly, while working closely with our process engineers and development scientists. You'll be instrumental in generating performance data, locking in high-performing formulations, and ensuring these materials meet the strict demands of a highly sensitive optical system.
We believe diversity drives innovation and underpins our success. We welcome enthusiastic science and engineering students and technologists from Chemical Technology, Materials Science, Polymer Engineering, or Chemistry backgrounds, especially those with hands-on lab experience.
We value curious, detail-oriented individuals with a collaborative mindset and a strong sense of ownership. Candidates with a foundational understanding of electrochemistry, ink or slurry formulation, or thin-film processing techniques will be well-positioned for success in this role.
The deadline for applying for Miru's January 2026 co-op work term is end of day Tuesday, September 30, 2025.
