The Process Engineer is responsible for providing troubleshooting, process analyses, optimization and improvement support to Irving Forest Services within the mill Technical and Operations groups.
Lead mill investigations, trials and improvement projects
Analyze process trends, interpreting data and proposing solutions.
Work to improve process, environmental and quality related initiatives.
Responsible for continuous improvement opportunities.
Communicate process changes all while adhering to and promoting safe work practices.
Other duties as required.
Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering
Minimum of 3 years of Pulp & Paper industry experience is required
Demonstrated leadership ability
Well-developed organizational skills with a strong attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Interest in a variety of business functions, such as Operations, Finance, Human Resources, Technical, Project Management and Safety
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Curiosity and persistence - you are a problem-solver with natural tendency to ask questions
Strong focus on safety and process improvement
Drive, initiative, teamwork
Language required: English
