This position is based in Mansonville, located in the Eastern Townships of Quebec, Canada. As such, it is essential that the candidate reside within close proximity to the office
Reporting to the Director of Process Engineering, the Process Engineer's objective is to improve and optimize the plant's production processes while providing daily support to the operations department. They will participate in and manages the implementation of new projects in the plant. The Process Engineer must also contribute to maintaining a safe work environment and ensure that production quality standards are met.
Main Responsibilities:
Perform daily monitoring of the process and production data. Provide support to operations as needed.
Participate in or manage continuous improvement projects to maintain or improve plant productivity, quality, environment, and safety results.
Assist in resolving daily maintenance and production issues to maintain productivity and product quality.
Take part in various technical requirements of the plant such as project meetings, HAZOP, customer complaints, and audits as needed.
Participate in monitoring and updating various production-related procedures and documents.
Take part in activities and tasks related to occupational health and safety.
Complete production, inspection, health, and safety reports as required.
Provide training to new production employees to ensure all procedures are followed.
Help establish and maintain inventory systems within the departments.
Be part of the on-call rotation list according to the schedule.
Perform any other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field, or an equivalent combination of work experience and training.
Minimum of 0 to 1 year of experience in a similar position.
Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
Bilingualism is an asset, as up to 25% of the role requires English to communicate with various departments and across Canada if necessary.
