Overview
The successful candidate will be a member of the Manufacturing Engineering team responsible for leading continuous improvement initiatives, supply chain risk projects and production process related root cause investigations on our catheter manufacturing lines.
Snapshot of Responsibilities:
  • Apply structured problem solving, lean principles, and other manufacturing best practices to drive product and process improvements.
  • Work closely with SMEs in the business to conduct process improvement related activities to enhance existing manufacturing capability within our company.
  • Design and introduce manufacturing processes and tools for existing products to increase capabilities and efficiencies delivering a competitive edge to our company and our customers.
  • Provide ongoing engineering support to production lines to help resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to lead root cause investigations related to production process related issues.
  • Develop process validation plans, protocols, process controls and Test Method Validations (TMV).
  • Adhere to all requirements of the Quality Management System.
  • Demonstrate company values, work with integrity and be a supportive team member
  • Comply with the Health & Safety policies of the company and inform Management of unsafe working conditions.
  • Other duties as required.

What you bring to the team:
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Engineering required, preferably Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering
  • Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment, preferably medical devices
  • Good understanding of process validation and risk management principles (IQOQPQ, PV&V and pFMEA)
  • Experience in process design/development and fixture design for manufacturability, preferably in the medical device industry
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles
  • Strong root cause analysis skills
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills (both written and oral)
  • Proficient in MS Office and Minitab (or similar statistical analysis software)
