As a Process Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, optimizing and problem-solving manufacturing processes in a manner that meets safety, quality, and operational performance expectations. Candidates are recognized for their theoretical engineering knowledge, and fundamental process understanding.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the process portion of various engineering projects
  • Analyze data to identify production losses and provide focus for continuous improvement activities
  • Lead processes and product changes in order to support business needs
  • Provide design, development, and optimization of converting and manufacturing equipment and processes to meet unit objectives
  • Carry out all job responsibilities in a safe manner
  • Develop equipment and processes that meet corporate and provincial safety codes, policies and guidelines
  • Provide for the safety and wellbeing of operators, maintenance, and other personnel.
  • Identify and solve technical issues that impede the achievement of unit objectives

To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:

An Engineering degree in Chemical, Industrial or Pulp and Paper from an accredited college or university

Lean Six Stigma certification preferred

Ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete projects within required timeframes

Sufficient computer skills to use or learn Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP, and PIMS

Strong written and verbal communication skills
