Position Summary

We are looking for a Process Engineer co-op student to join us for a 4 month period, starting in May, 2023. This position will be based out of our Florenceville, NB Canada office, dependent on the successful applicant

The Process Engineer co-op student will support the Global Process Innovation team delivery a targeted process automation project to support innovation upscaling from pilot to manufacturing.

The Team

The Global Process Innovation team is a small technical team within R&D. The focus of the Global Process Innovation team is to support successful pilot to production upscaling of medium to high complex products.

What You Will Be Working On

Deliver a time bound project for pilot line upscaling confidence.

Develop scale-up procedures.

Conduct pilot line scale tests for research purposes to improve commercialization agility.

Conducting process DOEs, understanding outputs and statistical modelling.

What You Will Learn

Project Management Process (Initiating, Planning, Executing, Monitoring & Closing)

How to identify necessary data for use as automated process control variables

Understand processing parameters at pilot plant that impact production scale-up

How to work and communicate with various teams across the enterprise

Working towards Bachelor\'s or Master\'s in Engineering, Food Science or related fields (Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Food Engineering, etc.)

Systematic approach to problem solving

Strong multi-tasking and organization skills
