About Me

I'm a 27-year-old woman with a disability (Spinal Muscular Atrophy) who lives independently in Whitby. I'm a talent agent at an acting agency and a travel blogger focusing on wheelchair accessible travel. My life is busy and exciting, from creating content and writing to meeting friends for lunch, walking my toy poodle, and diving into home decor projects. I rely on support for daily tasks like personal care, meal prep, and errands, and I'm looking for an incredible individual to join my team.

The Role

I'm currently hiring for

overnight

and

weekend

coverage. Responsibilities include:

Bedtime routine (showering, skincare, snacks, putting on my BiPAP machine) Repositioning me every 1-2 hours overnight as needed Morning routine (getting me up, dressed, and ready for the day) Some light housework, meal prep, and help with my dog Downtime while I sleep--you're welcome to bring quiet work or school tasks

You Should Be:

Comfortable with personal care and providing full physical support Physically able to lift/transfer 105 lbs safely A licensed driver (you'd be driving my accessible van) Reliable, friendly, and comfortable in a relaxed home setting A dog lover (I have a toy poodle) Legally eligible to work in Canada
Experience is great, but full training is provided.

Pay

$23.75/hr

for active care

$18.50/hr

for on-call hours (i.e. overnight) Overnight shifts are a mix of active/on-call (blended rate)
