About the Role

We are seeking a

compassionate, dependable live-in home care worker

to support a 95-year-old woman who is independent and enjoys a calm, steady routine. She walks with a walker, dresses herself, watches TV, and enjoys conversation. The role focuses on companionship, gentle personal care, and maintaining a tidy home.

Responsibilities

Prepare simple, healthy meals Assist with one shower per week and daily routines Light housekeeping, laundry, and organization Record temperature, blood pressure, and weight Medication reminders Grocery shopping or online ordering Overnight presence in the home (sleep-on-call; paid only if assistance is required) Communicate any concerns to family members

Schedule & Pay

Approx. 40 hrs/week (5 x 8-hr shifts) One guaranteed full day off each week (32+ hrs rest) $20/hr + 4% vacation pay | Paid orientation (up to 4 hrs in December)

Qualifications

Experience supporting seniors or home care preferred Warm, patient, and organized Legally eligible to work in Canada Non-smoker; clear communication in English (Spanish a plus) References appreciated

Private, fully furnished bedroom + private bathroom All meals included; quiet home near parks, shops, and #41 bus route
