The Private Banking Associate role will be responsible for providing support to a Private Banking Advisor. As a Private Banking Associate, you will provide exceptional service to Private Banking clients by assisting them with their transactional banking needs and responding to their queries. This could include lending, borrowing, investing or commercial lending needs.

Details on your work arrangement (proportion of on-site and remote work) will be discussed at the time of your interview.

How You'll Succeed as a Rotational Private Banking Associate:

  • Client Service - Greet customers arriving for meetings and arrange contact with appropriate individual. Service the financial needs of existing clients when the Private Banking Advisor is not available.
  • Operational Excellence - Respond to clients requests to process wires/cables and visa, tax and bill payments, and ensure requests get completed.
  • Sales Support - Support Private Banking Advisor in the management of their portfolios by reviewing all customer documentation with respect to compliance with regulations and bank policies. Open bank accounts, credit cards and other products as identified by the Private Banking Advisor.
  • Administrative Support -Process look-ups and provide information on accounts, loans and process cheque orders, and input credit details and loan notes into system.
Who You Are
  • You have experience in the financial industry. You have strong organization and administrative skills at a senior level with the ability to handle a number of incoming requests and prioritize appropriately. You have developed influential skills sufficient to promote and elicit client cooperation and consensus in the acceptance of revised/new approaches and policies and have sound decision making skills. You have knowledge of and demonstrated ability to plan, schedule, and implement office processes.

  • You can demonstrate some experience with loan, mortgage, and investment products sufficient to respond to general customer inquiries.
  • You have effective communication skills. Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills to interact with a wide range of individuals including peers, senior management and business partners. You have the ability to demonstrate tact, diplomacy, professionalism, and discretion.
  • You understand that success is in the details. Strong technical skills in Microsoft Office Applications including, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, as well as various other office equipment. You have a proactive approach to understanding and applying technological advances to daily business. You notice things that others don't. Your critical thinking skills help to inform your decision making.
