Position Overview:

We are seeking a

skilled Printing Press Operator

with strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail to join our Hanlan plant. This role is key to ensuring the efficient production of high-quality printed film while maintaining safety and performance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate flexographic printing presses used for printed polyethylene film. Ensure accurate colour matching, print registration, and consistent product quality. Perform quality checks, monitor ink viscosity, and make adjustments as needed. Conduct routine press maintenance and cleaning to prevent downtime. Maintain accurate records of production output and press performance. Collaborate with extrusion and converting teams to meet production goals. Follow all plant safety and housekeeping standards.

Requirements:

Minimum

2 years of experience

operating a

flexographic printing press

(film or packaging manufacturing preferred). Strong mechanical knowledge with ability to troubleshoot minor press issues. Understanding of colour theory, press setup, and quality control. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods. Excellent attention to detail, time management, and teamwork skills.

Willingness to work evenings and weekends

as required. Knowledge of

blown film materials

(LDPE, LLDPE, HDPE) is an asset.

Rate:

$24-$30 per hour (based on experience and shift flexibility)

Pay: $20.00-$26.00 per hour
