This position involves setting up, operating, and troubleshooting printing presses to produce high-quality printed materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain Heidelberg CD102 offset printing press in a safe and efficient manner.
- Set up and adjust press settings, including ink levels, rollers, and paper feed systems, to achieve desired print quality.
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on press equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Monitor print runs for quality assurance, ensuring consistency and accuracy in colour, registration, and alignment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve printing issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with prepress and production teams to ensure seamless workflow and meet tight deadlines.
- Maintain accurate records of production runs, materials used, and press performance.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Proven experience as an Offset Press Operator in a commercial printing environment.
Proficiency in printing four colour process jobs is a must
Strong understanding of colour theory, print quality standards, and press maintenance.
Attention to detail and the ability to identify and correct printing defects.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
