To be responsible for facilitating the development of 3D models, Instrumental design, isometric drawing production, and coordinating with an HVEC team.

Responsible for being the focal point for specific project scopes as a planner and scheduler for multiple projects
Assigned as working design lead (sub-lead, area lead or project lead based on the size of the project) for multiple sustaining capital projects, while still being able to take on design-related deliverables
Manage assigned work effectively, including prioritising, executing, managing schedule and budget (Engineering effort hours), and reporting to meet project goals/targets
Establish the scope of work, effort hour estimates and deliverable lists
Development of instrument index, I/O list, I/O assignment, equipment list, alarm rationalization list
Develop instrument loop diagrams, wiring drawings, instrument location plans, installation details, and Fire and Gas (F&G) location plans
Instrument selection, specification, and inline device sizing calculations
Develop instrument specifications and datasheets
Develop BOMs / MTOs
Develop cable schedules
Design cabinets and JBs etc
Develop Control Room Layout
Participating in design reviews, HAZOPs, LOPA and SIL
Reviewing project documents for scope, presentation, and technical accuracy
Procurement support by preparing MRQ/MRP packages, and performing TBE for field instruments, analysers, and system cabinets
Development of Control Narratives and Cause and Effect diagrams
Provide home office engineering support to on-site personnel
Review vendor designs for compliance with technical specifications and applicable standards
Develop engineering work packages or Construction work packages
Supervise and mentor the team members
Attending project team meetings, Client meetings and vendor review meetings
Establish a good working relationship with the Clients
Perform field visits to validate existing drawings and confirm tie-in locations
Utilize the workshare office or HVEC (High-Value Engineering Centre) to complete the I&C deliverables
Review designs for constructability and accordance with project requirements
Prepare accurate and complete drawings using practical design knowledge
Coordinate with other disciplines and assist lead engineer to ensure effective quality product
Conduct field investigations when needed, produce field reports with detailed sketches
Keep up to date on new design processes, modelling, drafting techniques, and IMS and standards
Develop and recommend improvements in design standards to lower cost and improve work quality and facilitate maintenance

Graduate with a Diploma from EDDT (Engineering design and drafting technology) or Equivalent
10 to 15 years of instrumentation and control design experience in the Oil and Gas Industry
Working knowledge of 2D (AutoCAD)
Experience with AVEVA E3D will be an asset
Experience in the EPC industry, leading the local and workshare team will be an asset
Effective communication skills (Written and verbal)
Leadership skills, team player, proven multi-tasker with strong organizational skills
Experience using Smart Plant Instrumentation (SPI)
Experience with Analysers would be an asset
Communication:
Excellent command of the English language in both oral and written communication and skills.
