A Principal Developer is responsible for coordinating between the product managers, development managers, stakeholders and teams to set technical direction and develop existing and new capabilities for our EBlock (digital wholesale auction) platform. Continuous involvement in the overall application strategy and development lifecycle is required.
What you will do:

• Work with our infrastructure, software development and data engineering teams to drive the overall architecture of the EBlock product.
• Help develop and nurture engineering best practices and culture.
• Make key technical decisions to enable the service resiliency and scalability required to support our growth
• Work with product managers, managers and teams to complete projects that further the business
• Support developed solutions in production
• Write code

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or a related field
• Experience on large complex Java application development with web and mobile clients
• Experience with scaling applications that grow at 10+x per year
• Excellent communications skills including ability to adapt to different audiences and situations
• Critical thinking and autonomy
• Strong knowledge of application architecture and best practices
• Excellent pull request review skills and attention to detail
