THE COMPANY
A fantastic opportunity awaits an entrepreneurial, talented and passionate Architect, to partner with a well-established and reputable, boutique Architecture firm in Vancouver, British Columbia. This locally-based company has a strong portfolio of repeat clientele and are looking for a dynamic individual to take over the reigns in running this successful organisation. Opportunity to become a partner and eventually own the practice.

Learn the ins and outs of the day-to-day operations of the firm, begin managing their clientele, and work closely with the existing owners as you grow into a partner in this company. This firm specializes in a variety of work including multi-family and mixed use woodframe projects, midrise and high rise towers, commercial, retail and community projects. Having been established more than 20 years ago, they are a small firm but with a sound reputation and in needs of an individual looking to take their Architect career to the next level. If that is you, this could be a perfect, long-term career transition for you!

THE ROLE
You will be working as the managing principal and have support from shareholders in the firm and a dynamic team of architectural professionals in the organisation.

WHAT\'S REQUIRED

• Registered Architect in Canada with AIBC
• 15+ years\' industry experience
• Possess an entrepreneurial mindset, an interest to grow into business development in BC market and a passion to run and own a successful Architecture practice
• Well networked in the BC market, capable in fulfilling business development inititatives
• Excellent leadership potential, capable of managing a team of around 10 staff
• Capable of working through all phases of a project from conceptual design through to contract administration and construction period services
• Strong appreciation for design and excellent project delivery skills
• Possess experience working with multi-family residential, mixed use and commercial projects; other project typologies an asset
• Possess a portfolio of projects and designs
• A detailed approach to project management with an open mindset in developing a team and leading projects forward through to completion
• High energy, innovative thinking and a dynamic approach to design and planning
• Excellent presentation, interpersonal and communication skills
• Long-term outlook and desire to be a part of the succession plan of this company with the possibility to step into a full owner of the company
