Position: Primary Care Registered Nurse - Wound Care and Lower Leg Assessment
Employment type: Permanent, Full-Time (1.0 FTE, 40 hours per week)
Location: This position is for our Lower Leg Assessment Clinic located in our central location at Meadowlark Health & Shopping Centre, 156 Street 87 Ave NW #124, Edmonton, AB T5R 5W9.

Objective: We are looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) to work within our Lower Leg Assessment Clinic which offers patients comprehensive lower-leg assessments and minor wound care. It also formulates treatment plans for wounds and compression therapy as well as screens for Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD).
Nurses in this program receive referrals from physician clinics and other interdisciplinary team members, then work with the patient to develop a treatment plan to prevent further complications.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Certification in wound care and/or NSWOC is an asset
Prior experience with compression wrappings would be beneficial
AADL authorization is an asset
Current CARNA and BCLS
Valid driver's license and reliable access to a vehicle
Previous Experience:
Five years of experience in Nursing, in primary care or acute care
Previous wound care experience
Chronic disease management including Diabetes is an asset
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (including word, excel and outlook)
Demonstrated experience using EMR and Netcare
Work experience in acute care settings as a Charge Nurse is an asset
