Pricing Manager

Hybrid work schedule - Calgary office (Please note that this position can also be filled in any of our offices across Canada)

Norton Rose Fulbright Canada LLP is currently seeking a Pricing Manager to join our Calgary office. The Pricing Manager will be responsible for applying their skills in pricing, project management and business intelligence to analyze, report and advise on various business needs within the organization. The primary responsibilities of the position are outlined below.

You will be focusing on:

  • Create, track and evaluate alternative pricing scenarios and matter budgets across various legal groups
  • Develop best practices for pricing; including pricing benchmarking initiatives
  • Conduct ongoing assessments of the legal pricing landscape to generate competitive intelligence and pricing analysis for the firm
  • Review and analyze pricing results and translate into business knowledge for key stakeholders by providing clear and concise commentary
  • Assess and distribute monthly pricing statistics and reports for management and practice groups
  • Identify and lead process improvement initiatives that increase client satisfaction and firm profitability.
  • Use appropriate judgement in dealing with issues and requests by demonstrating an ability to effectively prioritize work, balance resource requirements and determine solutions.
  • Facilitate communication with various groups across the firm and work directly with senior management, lawyers, Business Development, Finance, Legal Project Management and other administrative departments.
  • Assist with special projects as assigned
What you bring to the role:
  • Bachelor\'s Degree required in a quantitative discipline Finance, Business Management, Economics, Informational Sciences, Technology, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of pricing experience in a professional services environment
  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills
  • Prior pricing, project management, and process improvement experience
  • Excellent client service orientation and mind-set
  • Strong analytical and data management skills
  • Ability to network and build relationships outside of the organization as well as liaise with all levels within the organization
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast paced environment
  • Highly effective research skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently by using sound judgement, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Results-oriented with an ability to work under tight timelines
  • In-depth knowledge of MS Excel, SAP and/or Business Objects
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools (Tableau and Power BI)
  • Bilingual will be an asset (French/English)
