Job Description

Role Responsibilities


Ensure designs comply with ASME Sec VIII-1&2, ASME sec IX, CSA B51, CSA B52, ASME B31 Codes, industry standards and client specifications. Utilize 3D SolidWorks software and 2D CAD software to develop fabrication drawings, Bill of Material, weld maps and general arrangement drawings for customer's approval. Produce the mechanical design calculations of pressure vessels. o Check and approve other team members' deliverables. Authenticate engineering drawings as required. o Complete registration documentation as required. Provide production team with support to resolve design and fabrication issues to ensure efficient execution of vessel fabrication. Troubleshoot issues with production to develop innovative and cost-effective solutions Familiarity with weld procedures as required. Coordinate with MFG QC team. Improve the engineering and plant productivity.

Required Professional Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications


Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, (Registered P.Eng. or eligible in maximum two years) 5+ years' experience with engineering responsibilities in pressure vessel design. o Previous exposure to manufacturing processes. Strong knowledge of ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code Section VIII Division 1&2; ASME sec IX welding and other design codes such as API, NACE, CSA etc. Knowledge of COMPRESS pressure vessel design software would be an asset. o Thorough knowledge and experience with both AutoCAD and Solid Works is a must. Experienced in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint and BIM360 Ability to work alone or in a team and accept responsibility for the work performed o Ability to schedule work, deal with conflicts and meet deadlines Solid written and verbal communication skills.
