We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Press Brake Setter/Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating press brake machines to produce precision sheet metal components. This role requires a strong understanding of fabrication processes, blueprint reading, and quality inspection to ensure products meet strict specifications and standards. Duties
Set up and operate press brake machines to bend sheet metal according to detailed blueprints and specifications
Program CNC press brakes for precise operations, ensuring accurate angles and dimensions
Adjust tooling and machine parameters for optimal performance and quality output
Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of press brake equipment
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications
Conduct quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times
Collaborate with team members on fabrication projects involving CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, CNC milling machines, CNC lathe, stamping presses, welding, and electrical discharge machining
Operate hand tools and cranes as needed for material handling and assembly tasks
Ensure all parts are produced within tolerances using GD&T principles
Skills
Proven experience with press brake machines and tooling setup
Strong knowledge of CNC programming and operation for various manufacturing equipment including CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, CNC milling machines, CNC lathe, and electrical discharge machining
Ability to read complex blueprints and technical drawings accurately
Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of fabrication processes and machining techniques
Familiarity with quality inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments
Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks
Knowledge of safety procedures related to sheet metal working, welding, crane operation, and machine handling
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Strong attention to detail with a focus on producing high-quality components
