Reporting to the Kitimat Preservation (Shift) Lead, the Preservation Coordinator is responsible for supporting and monitoring the craft & contractor's preservation activities and supporting the development of the preservation database (MCPlus) to link and track engineered tags to modules and systems. This position works with the Project Team, Construction Contractors, and Client to ensure all preservation requirements are satisfied, properly executed, and documented in accordance with project requirements.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Direct Contact person for Kitimat Preservation Lead(s).
  • Participate in weekly preservation meetings.
  • Conduct regular inspections in the field to oversee and support the preservation team.
  • Review and implement any corrective actions related observations raised by the FPD, construction or technical services teams.
  • Document and ensure timely closure of any preservation NCR and punch items.
  • Identify Gaps in Preservation activities and assist in expediting solution.
  • Input, update, and support the maintenance of the MCPlus database to the latest approved preservation forms.
  • Assist with the management of the preservation forms and distribution to Preservation craft.
  • Provide input and assistance to help manage the MCPlus database which will include:
o Printing weekly preservation forms
o Rescan the completed forms into MCPlus
o Adding new forms against new material
o Changing the preservation location
o Starting preservation requirements
  • Coordinate with the Material control team to obtain the material arrival, issuance, receivable, and material tracking information.
Prepare Site 6-week look-ahead reports utilizing the Site MAR.
  • Responsible for tracking preservation related RFI and ensure that all Preservation RFI's have been actioned and responded accordingly.
  • Generate monthly KPI report when required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
CORE ACTIVITIES:
  • Functional knowledge of MCPlus data base program (desired but not essential).
  • Communicating and interacting with employees at all working and management levels.
  • Effective management of large volumes of data and documentation.
  • On site review, inspection, or walkdown of work scope for completeness, quality, and compliance with project specification and regulatory requirements.
Basic Job Requirements
  • Three to Five (3-5) years of experience in industrial construction, oil and gas and/or similar.
  • Bachelor of Engineering/Engineering Tech or Equivalent technical project experience.
  • Demonstrated job related technical knowledge and experience in mechanical completions, quality control/assurance, construction, or engineering.
  • Excellent computer and software skills.
  • Strong communication and organization skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, listening and communications skills, capacity to build trust among internal and external stakeholders.
  • Established track record as self-starter.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in high-stress and challenging environments.
  • Team player - ability to influence without authority and support the success of a team.
  • Good English verbal and writing language skills.

LNGC Rotational Schedule:
This position is open to local candidates on a 5X2 schedule or on a 14X7 rotational basis with charter hubs out of Calgary, Edmonton, Kelowna, Vancouver.
