Summary of the Position:

Provides administrative and operational support across various functions of the organization. Key responsibilities include processing online orders and fulfilling the duties of the administrative assistant in their absence. Additional responsibilities may include contributing to website maintenance, creating social media content, performing graphic design tasks, assisting with the annual conference, assisting with the Drug Comparison Charts, and possibly conducting research to support ongoing projects.


Reports to:

This position reports to the Administrative Assistant. The Chief Editor or Director may also assign duties.


Duties and Responsibilities:

This position provides multifaceted support to the organization, contributing to administrative, operational, and communications functions. Assigned duties may include:


Administrative Support

: Provide coverage for the administrative assistant during absences, including handling inquiries and general office tasks

Order Fulfillment

: Process and manage online orders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery

Data and Research

: Assist with the management of the Drug Comparison Charts and conduct research to support organizational initiatives

Event Support

: Assist with logistical planning and execution of the annual conference, including communications and materials preparation

Digital Content Management

: Update website content and maintain social media accounts with relevant and engaging material

Design and Communications

: Create basic graphic design materials for digital and print use, as needed

Ensure timely and accurate completion of assigned tasks Maintain professionalism in all communications and interactions Demonstrate initiative and adaptability in a dynamic work environment Uphold the organization's standards for quality and accuracy in all content and materials

Qualifications:



Current University of Saskatchewan student Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office and social media platforms Ability to learn website content management systems (Mobirise) Basic graphic design skills using tools such as Canva Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail Experience with health research is an asset

Location and Work Hours:

The RxFiles office is located in the E-wing of Health Sciences. This is an on-site position. Working hours are casual during the Fall and Winter semesters (~7.5 hours per week). Flexibility is offered to accommodate academic activities (e.g., preparing for exams). Office hours are 8:30am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday.
