Overview


We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Montessori Preschool Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Montessori early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children. This role requires excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds, including those with special needs. Bilingual candidates, particularly those fluent in English and French, are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities



Develop and implement engaging Montessori presentations that promote early childhood development and learning. Create a prepared environment that is safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment for all students. Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff through effective communication. Assess and document children's progress and development regularly by keeping detailed observation. Collaborate with other educators and specialists to support children with disabilities or special needs. Maintain classroom organization and cleanliness while managing time effectively. Utilize computer skills for lesson planning, record keeping, and communication purposes. Lead classroom activities that encourage creativity, social interaction, and cognitive growth.

Requirements



Degree in Montessori Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred. Experience working with children in a Montessori preschool or childcare setting is essential. Strong understanding of Montessori child development principles and early childhood education practices. Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in French is a plus. Demonstrated leadership abilities and strong organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and community members. Familiarity with special education practices is highly desirable. Time management skills to balance multiple responsibilities effectively. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00-$20.00 per hour
