Job Summary

We are seeking a

Preschool Teaching Assistant (ECE Level 2)

to support our morning preschool program for children ages 3-5. The assistant will work

Monday through Friday

in a play-based classroom alongside a long-standing lead teacher and engaged parent community.

Some children attend all week, so programming must remain engaging and varied. Ideal candidates are nurturing, reliable, and enthusiastic about early childhood education and cooperative learning environments.

Responsibilities

Support the lead teacher in delivering play-based learning activities Build positive relationships with children and families Assist with classroom prep, setup, cleanup, and daily routines Supervise and engage children in safe, developmentally appropriate activities Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming learning environment Communicate and collaborate effectively with the teacher team and parent board Contribute to the cooperative culture through teamwork and community engagement

Required Qualifications

ECE Level 2 Certification (required) 3-5 years experience with young children (preferred) Secondary School completion Current First Aid certification (CFS/CCD approved) Vulnerable Sector Police Check Strong English communication skills Reliable transportation
