We are seeking passionate and energetic Preschool Instructors for our Winter 2026 Session, to ignite a love of learning in young children and foster their early development. In this vital role, you will create a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment that promotes curiosity, social-emotional growth, and foundational skills. Your enthusiasm and dedication will inspire children to explore, discover, and thrive during their formative years. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of young learners.
Our Community Center offers several classes (most of 1-hour duration). Some with a parent/guardian present:
Bouncing Babies
(ages 0-6 months, 7-12 months, 12-18 months) With a parent in attendance. Offered Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays 9:15-10:15 am.
Little Explorers
(ages 2-3). Offered Tuesday and Thursdays 10:15-11:15 am.
Explorers
(ages 3-4). Offered Tuesdays 1:00-3:00 pm and Wednesday 9:15-11:15 am.
Sensory Play
(ages 1-2). With a parent in attendance. Offered Fridays 11:30-12:30 pm and 12:30-1:30 pm.
Kindergym
(ages 2-4) Offered Fridays 10:30-11:30 am.
Duties
Develop and implement dynamic curriculum plans that align with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and social skills.
Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and independence among preschool-aged children.
Foster positive relationships with children by providing individualized attention, supporting their emotional well-being, and encouraging social interactions.
Support children's physical activity through engaging physical education lessons tailored for preschoolers.
Assist in preparing children for kindergarten by developing foundational skills in literacy education, numeracy, and social-emotional competencies.
Requirements
Proven experience working with young children in a preschool or daycare setting.
Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management strategies.
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with parents, colleagues, and community partners.
Demonstrated commitment to child welfare, safety protocols, and fostering an inclusive learning environment.
Certification or training in early childhood education or related fields is preferred.
Passion for nurturing young minds through tutoring support, literacy education initiatives, and hands-on learning activities.
