Position Overview
The Pre?sales Project Engineer is a technical leader within Integrated Engineering Services responsible for converting client requirements into practical, cost?effective system designs and proposals. The role supports sales through technical presentations, proof?of?concepts, and field validation while ensuring documentation, compliance, and smooth handover to delivery teams. This role also contributes to internal standards, and industry engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Lead technical design and proposal development for assigned opportunities to produce professional, timely, and cost?effective outcomes.
Review architectural and security floor plans, specifications, and tender documents to confirm scope, fit, and complete cost analysis.
Produce clear technical proposals including equipment descriptions, performance data, and standards compliance.
Contribute to proposal pricing and tender responses, aligning technical scope with customer requirements.
Support the sales team with pre?sales solution scoping, product demonstrations, and proof of concepts.
Conduct site visits, pre?bid reviews, and pre?engineering meetings to validate field conditions and design constraints.
Act as the technical liaison between customers, vendors, Sales, and Purchasing to resolve technical and customer issues.
Evaluate new products and technologies; participate in trade shows, vendor seminars, and professional associations to stay current with industry trends.
Lead or support technical negotiations to secure quality components at competitive pricing.
Contribute to internal process improvement, documentation standards, and cross-functional collaboration.
