We are currently looking for a Presale Project Estimator to join our team and support the preparation of bids for our institutional and commercial furniture projects. In this role, you will play a key part in analyzing, planning, and evaluating project costs in collaboration with internal teams, directly contributing to the growth of our markets in the United Kingdom.

What You'll Do

Prepare detailed cost estimates for projects, including materials, labor, transportation, and installation. Analyze drawings, specifications, and other technical documents to fully understand project requirements. Collaborate with internal sales to gather the information required for bid preparation. Prepare and coordinate bid documentation. Maintain and update pricing databases, cost templates, and benchmarks. Communicate with suppliers and partners in Canada and the United Kingdom to obtain accurate and up-to-date quotations. Collaborate with internal teams to align requirements and information in preparation for an upcoming order. Participate in post-bid analyses and handovers to project management teams.

Strong analytical skills and excellent numerical accuracy. A methodical mindset and great attention to detail. A collaborative, solution-oriented approach. A solid understanding of manufacturing operations and cost-efficiency principles. The desire to actively contribute to international projects in a dynamic and growing environment.

Requirements

Education in Estimating, Industrial Engineering, Architecture, Furniture Technology, or a related field. 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in project estimation within a manufacturing, custom production, or furniture-making environment (strong asset). Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Bilingualism (French and English) is essential to communicate effectively with internal teams and international partners. Knowledge of the UK market (strong asset). Excellent command of Excel and familiarity with estimating software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam, or equivalent). Work schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (schedule negotiable)
