We are currently looking for a full-time Pre-Press Production Designer to join our growing Apparel Decoration team. The Apparel Decoration Team is responsible for the custom decoration of our sport-related apparel brands (ex. Under Armour, Adidas, etc.) using Screen Print, Heat Press, Direct to Film, and Embroidery machines. Apparel Decoration is a new and fast-growing department under OneTEAM. This position is a great opportunity to join our growing team as we expand our operations.

The Pre-Press Production Designer will work onsite at our "Home Run Sports" location in Winnipeg (20 De la Seigneurie Blvd, Winnipeg, MB R3X 0E9). The role will contribute to the efficient, high-quality operation of production lines, and ensure the orders scheduled for production are produced with quality and packaged as per proper protocol in accordance with internal procedures.

Responsibilities:



Develop illustrations, logos and other designs using a combination software, stock content, partner content and vendor supported content Understand all vendor-based content, rules, permissions and resources for content approved design Utilize pre-prepared presentation templates to position mock-ups as must-haves Ensure all content meets the established brand design, look and tone of the appropriate brand channels Create support documents as required for custom product designs. Code artwork files for future referencing and usage Provide new logo designs upon request Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily print shop/decoration operations including: Pre-press and production using a Roland wide format printer Pre-press layouts for flatbed printers and digital cutter Pre-press for screen printing film positives Original artwork for customers Develop and manage production schedules in accordance with customer deliverables. Determine output requirements, machine set-up, print and check proofs. Oversee post-production activities including quality checking finished product, prepping the product for production (weeding DP/cutting DTFs), counting, and packaging orders per customer specifications. Monitor quality, accuracy, and timeliness of all orders to ensure customer commitments are met through production of high-quality material that meets customer delivery expectations. Execute modifications as per instruction and approved protocols without assistance. Notify supervisor in the event of a deviation from procedure, product defect, safety incident, or other serious production issues. Maintain production control records and provide information to sales representatives, customer service staff, and management with regards to delivery dates, schedules, and operational delays. Support and maintain production of customer supplied designs. Work cooperatively with staff at all levels of the organization as a quality focused, service-oriented team player. Develop equipment maintenance schedules. Purchase and manage decoration equipment and supplies. Ensure all required documentation is completed accurately and on time. Encourage and maintain a safe work environment and adhere to all safety protocols as set out by management which will meet provincial and federal standards Provide training and guidance to the staff as needed. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Other apparel decoration or warehouse related tasks and duties as assigned.

Qualifications:



Ability to work with digital printing film, ink, and powder. Exceptional attention to detail. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Ability to walk and stand for 8-hours per day. Physically capable to lift, push, move, and carry light and heavy products - up to 60lbs. Ability to complete repetitive tasks with accuracy. Effective and efficient verbal and written English communication skills. Able to function as part of a team in a fast-paced work environment and able to work independently. Able to solve problems independently and as per standard procedures. Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within frequently changing priorities. Reliable and on time. Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, and Word), Microsoft Teams and OneDrive
