We're looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Prep Cook (Co-op Student) to join our Events Kitchen! This is a great opportunity for a culinary student who want to gain real-world experience in a fast-paced, professional kitchen.
We're Looking For Someone who is:
Enrolled in a culinary or hospitality co-op program ( a must!)
Eager to learn and grow in a kitchen setting
Strong work ethic and attention to detail
Punctual, organized, and able to follow directions
A team player with a great attitude
The Day to Day:
Support daily food prep for service--cleaning, chopping, portioning, and organizing ingredients
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and sanitation
Learn kitchen operations, station setup, and the basics of line service
Work alongside experienced chefs and contribute to a positive team environment
Participate in daily prep lists, inventories, and waste reduction practices
Qualifications
Basic Understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills.
Ability to take direction and work calmly and effectively under pressure.
Able to spend 100% of the time standing.
