We are looking for a dedicated, organized person who enjoys working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. The Prep/Line Cook is responsible for prepping ingredients and preparing our menu items to help create our vision for an awesome menu. To be successful as a Prep/Line Cook, you should be a committed, communicative team player with excellent time management skills. We are looking for someone who is willing to learn and advance their skills and learn all areas of the kitchen.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items in ovens, grills, fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipment according to the restaurants standardized recipes. Knows and complies consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures. Prepares item for broiling, grilling, frying, sauteing or other cooking methods by portioning, battering, breading, seasoning and/or marinating. Follows proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes. Handles, stores and rotates all products properly. Ensures food and ingredients are fresh for service. Maintains a clean and sanitary kitchen including all surfaces, cooking and preparation equipment and refrigeration equipment. Stay calm in stressful or emergent situations; help those around you feel more at ease. Keep up to date and improve your skills on standard and emerging cooking and preparation techniques. Special projects as directed by management.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Culinary school an asset. Prior experience in related food preparation. Strong knowledge of health and sanitation standards. Ability to use all equipment and techniques for all duties and responsibilities of the job. Ability to work evenings and weekends. Food safe level one.
