Job Overview

We are a very small family owned & operated restaurant looking to expand.

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Prep Cook/Dishwasher/General Help to join our team. This role is essential for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in all positions in the restaurant including front of house and back of house.

Duties

Assist with food preparation tasks, including salad bar prep, general food prep Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area by washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment. Ensure food safety standards are met by properly handling and storing food items. Help with meal preparation by assembling ingredients and preparing simple dishes as directed. Support the front of house by bussing tables and refilling buffet items Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment. Participate in cleaning duties at the end of shifts to ensure the kitchen is ready for the next day.

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is required Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting. Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude with a willingness to help others as needed. Good communication skills to effectively interact with kitchen staff. Must have reliable transportation, there is no public transit available Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends. A passion for the food industry and eagerness to learn about meal preparation techniques. Food safe certification is required Proserve is an asset Able to lift up to and above 50lbs Able to stand for long periods of time
Preference is given to those who have previous kitchen experience.

Job Type: Part-time

Expected hours: 25 - 32 per week
