Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Cook/Dishwasher to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining the smooth operation of our kitchen, ensuring that food is prepared safely and efficiently while keeping the dining area clean and organized. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, have minimum of 2 years experience in Nigerian cuisine, possess basic kitchen skills, and demonstrate a strong commitment to food safety standards.

Duties

Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards Assist in meal preparation and food presentation to ensure timely service Handle food safely, adhering to proper handling and sanitation procedures Wash dishes, utensils, pots, and pans promptly to maintain cleanliness in the kitchen Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including kitchen stations and storage areas Support serving staff as needed during busy periods Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all staff members

Skills

Experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate Knowledge of food handling and safety practices within a restaurant or food industry setting Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and cleanliness standards Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team Basic understanding of meal preparation techniques and kitchen operations Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is a mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is highly valued
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.20-$18.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 60 per week
