We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep Cook / Baker to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. As a Prep Cook, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients, maintaining food safety standards, and assisting in meal preparation to support our chefs in delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Duties
Prepare and chop vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients for cooking
Prepare sandwiches & Wraps daily
Assist in baking ( muffins, croissants, scones )
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace
Follow food safety guidelines to ensure high standards of hygiene
Store food items properly to prevent spoilage and contamination
Help with inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management of low stock
Skills
Proficient in food preparation techniques and cooking methods
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling
Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff
Familiarity with meal preparation processes and serving techniques
A passion for the food industry and commitment to delivering quality dishes
