Prenatal Nutrition Coordinator Families East Resource Centre Souris, PEI Families East Resource Centre is a community-based organization funded by the Public Health Agency of Canada to provide programs and services to families with children under the age of 6 in the Eastern Kings region. The goal of the prenatal program is to contribute to the health of expectant women, new mothers, and infants (0-1) in the EK region. This is a three day/week position of 22.5 hours a week. The Prenatal Coordinator is responsible for coordination, supervising and overseeing all aspects of the Canadian Prenatal Nutrition Program. The person will be working to develop and implement objectives and programs according to the funding agreement. Also assisting with other Centre activities and programs as needed. This position is a Maternity leave and will run from approximately January 15, 2024 to January 15, 2025. The centre also shuts down for July and August except for Thursday mornings so there is the possibility of working 4hours/week in the summer months or continuing the 22.5 hours per week if one prefers. Position pays $ 17./hr. Possibility of more hours / Flexible hours/ Benefits Qualifications: : Post-secondary education preferred or equivalent combination of education and work experience. : Experience working with parents, community groups and organizations. : Experience in implementing programs, computer skills, ability to work with a diverse population. : Experience working with budgets, time and organization and management skills. : Ability to facilitate small groups on a weekly basis. : Self-starter, able to work independently, and in a team environment, be creative, flexible, non-judgemental, empathic. : have access to a reliable vehicle and hold a valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license.
