Job Description
Educational Assistant
Location:
Joseph Welsh Elementary
12 hours weekly - Monday to Thursday
Commencing as soon as a suitable candidate is found until June 29, 2026.
The successful applicant will provide support in Pre-Kindergarten. Applicants are encouraged to highlight experience in trauma-sensitive classroom practices.
Desirable qualifications and attributes:
Educational Assistant Certificate or comparable education Experience or education in early childhood education or Pre-Kindergarten would be an asset SIVA and/or NVCI training is considered an asset Experience in supporting students with communication needs is an asset. Comfortable working independently, with minimal guidance
Strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude
Good problem-solving skills. Toileting and lifting may be required
